The Great Northern Horse Trail
A day of chasing the single-speeder and ebiker around the trails of Lancashire and Yorkshire.
A 7am start from Halifax and heading to Hudderfield via Ainley Top to meet the guys at Huddersfield Leisure Centre. A steady ride along the canal to Slaithwaite and coffee at Culture was great start to what would be an awesome day of mountain biking on dry dusty trails in the warm sunshine. The route would take us from Slaithwaite, Marsden, Redbrook Res, Diggle, Dove Stones Res, Carrbrook, Stalybridge, Higher Swineshaw Res, Tintwistle, Crowden, Dunford Bridge, Hade Edge, Larch House, Brockholes, Holmfirth, Conley and back to Huddersfield where I would leave the Singlespeeder and ebiker and head back up to Ainley Top for my ride home.
A brilliant 62 miles with 6,500 feet of climbing.
