The Summer That Keeps Giving
From March to October 2025, Yorkshire felt more like southern Spain than the north of England. Week after week, blue skies, hard sun, and barely a drop of rain turned the landscape brittle. Reservoir edges crept back into cracked mud, hosepipe bans rolled in, and rivers shrank into lazy, shallow threads. Even up in Scotland, streams that usually roared were reduced to a whisper. For riders, it meant endless dry lines, dusty corners, and tyres humming over rock and hardpack. Epic conditions, yes — but with every ride came that uneasy thought: this isn’t normal, and trails were telling us.
